music lessons, or your local Primary School is looking for an after-school
drama club then keep reading for more information or get

Charlotte
delivers an After-School Drama Club in local primary schools. The club runs
across two half-terms with a performance to parents at the end.
Over the
term, the children learn a range of performance skills through games, improvisation
and devising techniques. We work together to build confidence and develop
their facial expressions, body language, vocal skills and other key performance
techniques.
In the first
session the children take a blind vote, based on 3 script choices, that then
becomes the play for the term. We spend the following weeks directing, rehearsing
and learning lines ready for our final short production, in costume, to parents.
Charlotte
books the club directly with the school and then parents book a termly place
for their child/children via Charlotte's online booking system. The spaces
are limited so allocation is on a first-come-first-served basis due to safeguarding
and health and safety as Charlotte delivers these workshops alone. Your termly
fee goes towards hiring the school hall, time, cost of props and costumes,
cost of printing scripts and other necessary costs.
The club
costs £8 per child, per week, paid at the start of term. There are up
to 15 spaces available per school per term.
Previous
scripts have been:
The Wizard of Oz
Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory
Alice In Wonderland
The Snow Queen
Matilda
If you think
a drama club is something your school would benefit from, please get in touch
via email. Charlotte
is always looking for new schools.
Prior to becoming self-employed, Charlotte worked
freelance for The Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot as well as Creation Theatre
in Oxford, as a Drama Facillitator, delivering workshops of a similar nature.
